Born in Turin (Italy), on 2 February 1956. After the degree in classical studies, he graduated as a Nuclear Engineer at the Polytechnic of Turin. Photographer since 1983, he is author of several exhibition and publications, following the teachings of international masters as Franco Fontana, Klaus Zaugg, Frédéric Brenner, Mario De Biasi. Especially devoted to social and political reportage, he loves everything that is concerned with people-way-of-life, from his home town to the furthest corners of the world. During the year 1999 he also experimented the possible dialogue between photography, literature and theatre, taking part in "Haiku", an original dance theatre performance by the Theatre Company Controluce, in which different artistic media, music, dance, photography, were joined together to give breathe to old traditional Japanese short poems. Some of his favourite photos were at the National Italian Foundation for Photography and now at GAM Torino. Teacher of Photography both in schools and for the Foundation for Photography and for a noprofit ong Unponteper, he was named as expert in photographic controversies for the High Court in Turin. He published, alone or with other photographers, some books: two titles about the Industrial Archaeology in Turin: "La Manifattura Tabacchi a Torino", on assignment by the Provincia di Torino, April, 1997; "Le Cattedrali del Lavoro" edited by the Italian Art Editor Allemandi, on assignment by the Italian Photography Foundation, December, 1998, "L'isola che c'è - The Everland", social and political reportage about the political situation in Northern Ireland, December 1998;"La spesa: un'avventura da fine millennio - Shopping: the new millennium challenge", an assignement by the multinational Company Carrefour/GS, December 1999, a social and anthropological analysis of the typical lifestyle as you can see in the everyday habit of shopping in a mall; "A tutto campo", a technical and practical approach to the body culture, for schools, edited by Loescher Editore, Oct2001, and other books for Loescher Editore and DeAgostiniScuola and for the book "Europa domani" ed.Jouvence.Recently « Istanbul » for Arca Edizioni. Since 1987 he did some exhibitions, starting from the International Biennial of Photography in Torino, Young Authors then at Unesco Palace in Paris and between others Maison d'Italie in Paris, some art galleries in Turin and Milan, the Public University of Losanna, Celle Ligure(IM), Senigallia (AP), Parma on assignment from an International Project by TELECOM ,National Photography Foundation, Photography Museum,Torino - CGIL Alessandria/Pavia/Parma on assignment from the Comune di Torino and National Trade Union CGIL, some bookstores Italian tour, Milan Castello Sforzesco for a Fondazione Nava International day for childrens exhibit, he’s exposed by Galérie Levy in Paris. He has received an honour mention for the photojournalism at the 2008 Tau Visual award for creative quality in professional photo on 2009.
